Thank you for this! I agree with you almost completely. I believe Pashinyan has sold Armenia to the west. He'll regret this—if he lives long enough. But Russia too bears some of the blame for not standing tall in the face of western aggression. OTOH, Russia is also under attack on all sides... I used to be very angry at both Russia & China for not doing MORE to help Gaza, Armenia, Syria, Somalia, and other western victims, but now I understand their position a lot better. I still want more involvement from them (and China!) but I realize it's not so simple as just wishing.

Love your show, your writing, and you. Thanks Kevork for being a trustworthy voice out there in the wilderness! We need you. <3

I second that. Thanks.

Russia is the natural leader of the Orthodox Christian nations, a bloc that unquestionably includes Armenia. Further, the reality is that Russia is the last stronghold of Christianity in the world today.

Unfortunately, Armenia has fallen victim to the color revolution tactic and aligned itself with the Western nations ruled by Zionists.

Like Ukraine, Armenia is presently controlled by a traitorous elite who seek to surrender its national sovereignty.

However, the Armenian people could still reject their current so-called leaders, form alliances with Russia and Iran, and quickly regain the ability to effectively defend their national interests.

Same point I was thinking as I read this.

The western outpost for this same erosion of traditional christianity is Ireland. The new religion of the West is secularism. It is an easy transformation coming out of the United States, being a country that had traditionally been Christian but vehemently anti-Catholic (and Orthodox).

The Church of England has turned secular. The Church of England is the historical root for the political Protestant thinking of the United States, whose churches have also turned secular. All you have to do is look at the flags and signs on the front of any church in both countries. The pulpit is preaching political activism. (BREXIT is heresy on both sides of the pond). The same elite, traditional upper class families who attend these churches a hundred years ago still do today; same universities on both sides of the Atlantic, same vacation resorts in the Mediterranean, or the Rockies, the same taste in architecture and cars, media, etc. People who want to be in this class, have to educate themselves appropriately and demonstrate their political fortitude.

However as we have seen a Lebanon and Syria, Orthodox and Catholic peoples don’t quite raise up to the bar of concern for “persecution”. The recent desecration, defamation and killing of “Christians” in these countries, by the IDF has been ignored by western media. Being a “minority” or “indigenous person” only counts in the right settings. It is an insight (or question) into the dark corner of Zionism - why kill, persecute or mock people who have a common adversaries?

Ironically it has been Putin (no friend of American values or for the Bill of Rights) that has been the voice in the East (and West) for traditional Christianity; China is no friend for any voice for God.

Secularism is the mind virus that is going to euthanize Western values and Christianity as a whole in the name of inclusivity. Ironically, it is secularism that will perish at the hands of Islam. How will tolerance and inclusion look under the tutelage of a MODERN DAY RELIGION, running the governments in MODERN DAY COUNTRIES that still practice and or abide the subjugation of women, children and any non believers/members.

PS - It’s an affront to Western Society that an “ex” KGB Agent is “making a stand” for traditional Christianity

I get the vision, but I don't think Pashinyan is selling Armenia to the West.

Look at the previous leaders — they turned the country into a Russian puppet with no real autonomy. After Pashinyan, Armenia managed to enter European discussions and get a seat at Trump's table.

That's not nothing in this region.

I can't speak to his internal affairs — that's a separate conversation. But geopolitically? This man is doing the best anyone realistically can with the hand Armenia has been dealt.

The Caucasus doesn't give you many good options. He's navigating the least bad ones.

Armenia - the FOB (Forward Operating Base) of Christianity?

Irony is comical because it is based in truth. We have an ex KGB officer, that worked East Germany during the Cold War, as the spokesman for traditional Christianity.🤯🤪

I think you are viewing Armenia's case through the eyes of Arthur and there are lots of informational gaps in that discussion. This analysis is very raw and not well informed. I do not support the actions of Pashinyan but Arthur's vision is even more detrimental. I have many objections to various parts of your analysis.

This type of discussion is not new. It has been going on since the war and majority of the population in Armenia has already multiple times rejected Arthur's approach. We have been there, done that multiple times. Trying to balance geopolitics in close collaboration with Russia is toxic. Pashinyan is keeping a healthy distance. I would like it to be farther but I suppose it is as far as Armenia can afford. I think Pashinyan very well understands the geography and the regional geopolitics and he is trying to do exactly what you are suggesting - to survive by finding a balance with every power in the region. This is something that Armenia has not done for decades being under a strict control from Russia. I am someone that does not like many parts of Armenian geopolitics but I understand why he is doing it. He is also trying to ensure balancev of powers by collaborating with Israelies knowing very well that at the end of the day Israel is not a friendly country the same way as Russia , Turkey, Azerbaijan. But there is an alliance formed between Greece and Israel against Turkey which is a balancing factor also for Armenia. This is a place where Arthur comes in. As an avid supporter of Russian interests, any agreement with Israel and Trump (which I notice not support as well) is a target for attack. Russia is attacking everything and anything to do with Israel with all his minions all over the world with the hope of bringing Trump to his axis of influence. Too bad Israel has created toxicity all around it and has gone too far, which creats another layer of complexity because Pashinyan cannot freely utilize that balancing edge against Iran's interests. This is a general picture. I agree that geopolitics is very complex there are lots of factors and even if I cannot agree with some actions Pashinyan is taking, I must admit that he is continuously searching for new approaches and balancing points and that is not an easy task. Arthur's vision of strengthening alliance with Russia perhaps has a much stronger potential of destroying Armenia's statehood. Many of the 'Russian operatives' have been openly contemplating the idea of becoming part of Russia. That is a rout most Armenian's do not want to take and your article comes out as part of the old propaganda that is pushing forward same old, same old.

Do you think Iran and Russia could team up and make Short work of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia if necessary?
